All of Bear's animal friends are bringing food to his cave in order for them to have a big banquet, but the more and more animals that come and he thanks, the more upset he gets. He has nothing to share. However, all the animal friends hug him and tell him it's okay because there's more than enough food already; besides, he can share one of his wonderful stories they all love! So, that's what Bear does!
The illustrations in this book are made with acrylic painting, thus giving a warm, lively feeling such as the one all the animals instill during their homely banquet!
This poetry book is great for English! It would help our littles (first graders) understand rhyming and improve their reading skills. I would use it during my English lessons around Thanksgiving, and then I would make students match rhyming words throughout the book. We would then find our own rhyming words!
